DC Komal Mittal inspects the development works going on in Mohali and Majri blocks

SAS Nagar: Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, along with Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Sonam Chaudhary, today visited Mohali and Majri blocks to review the development works going on in various villages.

Exposing the importance of a healthy rural environment, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need to establish playgrounds and clean the village ponds. He said that Punjab Chief Minister S. According to the instructions of Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Mohali district administration is committed to providing a clean and safe environment for the youth with a permanent solution for liquid waste management.

During his visit to villages including Beholpur, Chandpur and Naggal Garhian, he inspected the complete and ongoing works related to ponds and playgrounds. He informed that 100 playgrounds have already been developed in the last financial year, 184 more plans have been made in additional villages.

He further mentioned that village ponds across the district will soon be developed on the basis of Thapar model, which aims to provide a long -term solution for liquid waste issue in rural areas.

Deputy Commissioner Mittal directed ADC Sonam Chaudhary to ensure close monitoring of all the ongoing rural development projects, which paid special attention to the completion of the pond and playground. He said that block development and panchayat officials will be held accountable for the on-ground execution of these initiatives.

ADC Sonam Chaudhary assured the Deputy Commissioner of timely progress, confirming that it would personally oversee the daily update and ensure efficient implementation of projects.
