Chandigarh: Meher Chand Mahajan Dave College for Women, Public Communications Department organized an educational journey for Radio Mirchi FM, Chandigarh. The journey was organized with the aim of familiarizing students with the world of radio broadcasting, providing insight to the debutant media professionals in the work of radio stations. Mr. Ans Grover, Zonal Content Head, Upper North Cluster, Radio Mirchi, informed the students about the technical aspects of organizational structure, studio set-up, day-to-day working and radio broadcasting.
He also made him aware of various attractive career options in the region. Students also had to learn the nuances of radio jockey during a conversation with RJ and MCM Alumna Omika, and RJ Jugni. Students found the journey highly informative as they saw the process of radio broadcast from near quarters.
Officer Ms. Nina Sharma appreciated the Public Communications Department for this initiative to highlight students for the specific areas of radio broadcasting. He said that such educational trips are mandatory for students to achieve perspective on the functioning of organizations that they are going to be a part in the future.
