Red Cross enrolls more girls in business courses to make them self -reliant
Sumer GargSangrur: Dr. Kamdeep Sharma, Chairperson Red Cross Hospital Welfare Branch, Sangrur, held a meeting to review various activities and works of the Red Cross. During the meeting, it was decided to enroll more girls in business courses to make them self -sufficient. In particular, the Red Cross is currently enrolling more than 200 girls in vocational education. Members presented suggestions on running training centers, such as computer centers, beauty parlors and shorthand centers. The chairperson emphasized that more attention should be paid to computer training, as it is a requirement in today’s time. The chairman said that girls need to stand on their feet to strengthen women in real terms, which is an important requirement of hours. He also emphasized the importance of sewing and sewing skills, and directed the Red Cross members to encourage more girls to take these skills. He directed the members of the Red Cross to show new sewing clothes and design to girls in various boutiques in Sangur district to further enhance their skills. He instructed the members to visit the hospital every week to ensure cleanliness and other aspects, so that the people going to the civil hospital would not face any difficulty. Dr. Kamdeep Sharma directed the members of the Red Cross with great enthusiasm at various places to celebrate ‘International Yoga Day’ on 21 June, with great enthusiasm at various places like old age homes and de-addition centers. He said that cancer awareness camps will also be organized in the coming days, and Secretary Red Cross Society was directed to coordinate with Homi Bhabha Hospital Sangrur in this regard.
